It haven been three? four years ago, when i first stepped into Cameron Highland with my friend Catching Bug in the midnight. I remember well is in June (bug season) .
That was in 3 oc in the morning , we went to the road-light where the beetles likes to stay during night, THATS THE FIRST TIME, I realise the sky was all covered by BILLIONS of stars.

The night sky in Cameron Covered with stars |
I remember i borrowed my Aunt's dslr, a Nikon D3000 with a Kit lens and prime lens ( acting pro, but actually i am totally don't know the function of every button in the camera). I tried to take the picture of the stars. Of coz, FAIL, i am using auto focus mode on that time, but i can't even get any stars , nor even focusing on the sky. It was a freezing cold night, i do tried around an hour , flashing, Bulb mode(no tripod), putting here and there where the place that can make the camera pointing up to the sky, but finally, my friend ask me to go back because is tiring and freezing. NO Usable photo at all in result.
But, thanks to that, i finally found a place that can let me shoot star, after getting my first Dslr, with some lens i got there, i travel to Cameron highland alot , just to capture the nightsky.
Nothing is eazy in the beginning of doing something. Transports, money for traveling, lens, knowledge of the Astronomy , Dslr , Freezing cold night , locations in Cameron that allow me to take photo for stars clearly, experiences, FEAR ( I don't think thats is safe for going a place that is dark in midnight and with some Dslr thing with you alone) , the weather that suit for going for photo(sometime u will have sky covered with clouds) bla bla bla. it took me 3 years but finally, I was manage to know which month, place, time, camera thats most suit for astronomy photographing in Cameron!!! I learn most of my photographing skills there, long exposure , landscape shooting, forest shooting, street shooting, insects, most of them, But going up there just with one purpose, shooting stars.
